Shoebox Float Winners
The winners in the Florida Strawberry Festival’s shoebox float contest were announced today.
The contest, sponsored by HiDow, allows children in first through sixth grades to decorate a shoebox to look like a miniature parade float. All floats entered are on display all 11 days of the festival in the Parke Building on the Florida Strawberry Festival grounds.
In the first and second grade category, Dylan Brewington won first place; Easton Goff won second place; Abigial Benitez won third place; Kennedy Duncan won fourth place, and Micah Knowell-Naval won fifth place.
In the third and fourth grade category, Sydney Olmedo won first place; Connor McQuaig won second place; Marley Olmedo won third place; Kyla Greene won fourth place, and Marissa Acotto won fifth place.
In the fifth and sixth grade category, Skylar Grooms won first place, and Christian White won second place.
