FFA Exhibit Winner Announced

The Florida Strawberry Festival announced the winners of the annual FFA exhibit competition today. In this year’s contest, Tomlin FFA won first place, Marshall FFA won second place, Durant FFA won third place and Turkey Creek FFA won fourth place. Grand Champion Swine Chosen

The grand champion at the Florida Strawberry Festival’s Mosaic Youth Swine Show was chosen tonight in the Patterson Co. Livestock Arena. Tiffaney Henry, a member of the Simmons Career Center FFA Chapter, exhibited the grand champion swine. Reserve grand champion was awarded to Kenneth Hattaway, a member of the Durant FFA Chapter. Festival Announces Neighborhood Village Winners

Officials at the Florida Strawberry Festival’s Neighborhood Village announced today the grand champion winners in its competition of homemade items. Divisions in the non-perishables category include quilting, home décor, clothing, accessories, needlework, toys, dolls and knitting, crocheting, tatting, paper crafts and scrapbooking items. The perishables category includes dehydrated foods, jellies, relishes, vegetables, cookies, cakes, candies, breads, cupcakes and more. Neighborhood Village Youth Champions Announced

Officials at the Florida Strawberry Festival’s Neighborhood Village Youth competition announced today its champion winners. The Neighborhood Village Youth competition includes baked goods, canned items, home décor, clothing, accessories and more, all of which are entered by youth in Plant City and the surrounding communities. Grand Champion Steer Chosen

The grand champion at the Florida Strawberry Festival’s Mosaic Youth Steer Show was chosen last night at the Patterson Co. Livestock Arena in the Grimes Family Agricultural Center. Megan Todd, a member of the Plant City FFA Chapter, exhibited the overall grand champion steer, and Clayton Brock, a member of the Durant FFA Chapter, exhibited the overall reserve grand champion steer. Festival Offering Small Pieces of Stadium

Many loyal patrons and Plant City natives have asked about acquiring a small piece of William Schneider Memorial Stadium to have as a keepsake. We are pleased to announce that we have saved a small selection of golf ball size pieces of the stadium that we are offering on a first-come, first-served basis at no charge.
