Exhibit Contest Winners

The Florida Strawberry Festival announced today the winners of its annual exhibits contest.

Each year, every exhibit including concessions, civic clubs, educational exhibits and others is judged on its decorations and overall presentation.

“It’s important that every part of our festival be presented well for our guests,” said President Paul Davis, “and our vendors and concessionaires are a large part of that overall appeal.”

In the arts and crafts category, Village Glass Blower won first place; Misty Mountain Soap Co. won second place, and The Dude’s-Plant Planters won third place.

In the commercial exhibits category, Fox Lane Baskets won first place; JNS Sales won second place, and Mario Camacho Foods won third place.

In the outside concessions category, Polar Bear Homemade Ice Cream (East Independent) won first place; Florida Food Specialties won second place, and Sign Master won third place.

In the educational exhibits category, the Hillsborough County Schools won first place, and the Hillsborough County 4-H won second place.

In the civic clubs category, St. Clement “Make Your Own Shortcake” won first place; Turkey Creek Assembly of God won second place, and the Plant City Lions Club won third place.

In the agricultural exhibits category, Parkesdale Farms won first place; Parkesdale Greenhouse won second place, and Wish Farms won third place.

Copper Kettle Fudge and Fain’s Concession both received awards of distinction.
