Festival’s 2019 Exhibits Winners Announced

2019 Strawberry Youth Parade Winners Announced

The Florida Strawberry Festival announced today the winners in its annual Strawberry Youth Parade. The Florida Strawberry Festival hosts the youth parade each year that highlights youth groups, dance studios, school marching bands and other community youth organizations. The contest, sponsored by HiDow, allows children in first through sixth grades to decorate a shoebox to look like a miniature parade float. The winners in the Florida Strawberry Festival’s Plant City Garden Club Horticulture Show were selected today. The horticulture show is divided into three divisions of competition: junior gardeners, intermediate gardeners and adult gardeners. The grand champions at the Florida Strawberry Festival’s Mosaic Youth Poultry and Rabbit shows were announced today. In the youth poultry show, Peyton Eatman exhibited the grand champion, and Kenzie Vazquez exhibited the reserve grand champion. The grand champion at the Florida Strawberry Festival’s Mosaic Youth Swine Show was chosen last night. William Haxton, a member of the Durant FFA Chapter, exhibited the grand champion swine. Reserve grand champion was awarded to Tanner Ashley who was exhibiting on behalf of the Hillsborough County FFA Federation. Willie Nelson & Family’s upcoming performance at the 84th Annual Florida Strawberry Festival is sold out. The Florida Strawberry Festival announced today the winners in its 2019 fine art show presented by the East Hillsborough Art Guild and sponsored by Good Health Saunas. In early December, the top 20 bands were selected from a field of over 30 based upon eligibility and specific selection criteria.
