Festival raffles off Stingray Chevrolet Corvette to benefit Unity in the Community

A 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 2LT was given away last week at the Stingray Chevrolet display on the Florida Strawberry Festival grounds. Youth Beef Breed Show winners chosen

The Florida Strawberry Festival awarded the winners of its annual beef breed show that took place this past weekend in the Patterson Co. Livestock Arena at the Grimes Family Agricultural Center. Exhibitors in the Florida Strawberry Festival’s Mosaic Beef Breed Steer Showmanship Contest competed against one another on Friday, March 6 to find the event’s top showman.    In the showmanship contest, which takes place in the Patterson Co. Livestock Arena in the Grimes Family Agricultural Center, exhibitors are judged on their ability to present their animals to the judge. Shoebox Float winners chosen at Festival

The winners in the Florida Strawberry Festival’s shoebox float contest were announced this week. The contest, sponsored by HiDow, allows children in first through sixth grades to decorate a shoebox to look like a miniature parade float. Ninety-eight steer sold in Mosaic Youth Steer Sale

Exhibitors in the Mosaic Youth Steer Show sold their steer Saturday evening in the Mosaic Youth Steer Sale at the Patterson Companies Livestock Arena. The grand champion steer, exhibited by Riley Buttorff, was purchased for $21 per pound. The reserve grand champion steer, exhibited by Mariah Austin, was purchased for $11 per pound. Lamb show winners chosen at Florida Strawberry Festival

The winners in the Florida Strawberry Festival’s lamb shows were this week at the Patterson Companies Livestock Arena in the Grimes Family Agricultural Center. Festival hosts luncheon with U.S. Secretary of Agriculture and local producers

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sunny Perdue visited the Florida Strawberry Festival Friday morning to meet with agriculture producers in the Plant City area. Numerous producers of strawberries, vegetables and cattle, along with U.S. Rep. Ross Spano of Florida, U.S. Rep.
