A 2021 Chevrolet C8 Corvette 1LT was given away last Sunday at the Stingray Chevrolet display on the Florida Strawberry Festival grounds. The winners of the Florida Strawberry Festival’s annual baby parade were awarded this past weekend on the festival grounds. In this year’s baby contest, sponsored by South Florida Baptist Hospital and held in front of the GT Grandstands, contestants ranging in age from 1 year old to 4 years old competed in several categories: most beautiful, most handsome, best personality, best costume and best float. Shortcake eating champion awarded at Festival

The Florida Strawberry Festival announced today the winner of its annual Strawberry Shortcake Eating Contest that took place yesterday in the Stingray Chevrolet Entertainment Tent on the festival grounds. Eight competitors were drawn at random to participate in the event and were each served a five-pound shortcake with whipped cream and strawberries. Festival selects winners of Lamb Show

The winners in the Florida Strawberry Festival’s lamb shows were this week at the Patterson Companies Livestock Arena in the Grimes Family Agricultural Center. Four competitions are held for lamb and their exhibitors: showmanship, a jumping contest, a sheep show and costume contest. In the showmanship competition, where exhibitors are judged on their ability to present their animals, exhibitors are separated into junior, intermediate and senior categories. Exhibitors in the Florida Strawberry Festival’s Mosaic Youth Steer Showmanship Contest competed against one another last night to find the event’s top showman. In the showmanship contest, which takes place in the Patterson Co. Livestock Arena in the Grimes Family Agricultural Center, exhibitors are judged on their ability to present their animals to the judge. Eighty-Four swine sold in Festival’s Mosaic Youth Swine Sale

Exhibitors in the Mosaic Youth Swine Show sold their pigs Friday evening in the Mosaic Youth Swine Sale at the Grimes Family Agricultural Center in the Patterson Companies Livestock Arena. The grand champion pig, exhibited by Ellie Smith, was purchased by Rick Lott for $20 per pound. The reserve grand champion pig, exhibited by Shyanne Wood, was purchased by Ben Rice for $16 per pound. The Florida Strawberry Festival announced today the winner of its Strawberry Mashed Potato Pie Eating Contest that took place today in the Stingray Chevrolet Entertainment Tent. Super Mega Corn Dog Eating Contest winner declared in festival’s 2021 event

The Florida Strawberry Festival announced today the winner of its Super Mega Corn Dog Eating Contest that took place yesterday afternoon in the Stingray Chevrolet Tent on the festival grounds. For the second consecutive year, Michael Jenkins won the event where each contestant is given two “mega” 18-inch corn dogs. The first contestant to eat both corn dogs is declared the winner. 2021 Neighborhood Village winners announced

Officials at the Florida Strawberry Festival’s Neighborhood Village announced last week the grand champion winners in its competition of homemade goods. Divisions in the non-perishables category include quilting, home décor, wearing apparel sewn, wearing apparel not sewn, needlepoint, needlework and plastic canvas, toys and dolls, knitting, crocheting, tatting and bobbin lace, paper crafts, jewelry, vinyl, woodworking, and photo scrapbooking.
